Mental pain. Physical pain. Lonely.
Surviving is not living, what’s the point , I have nothing to offer and even with everything I’ve tried, I still end up in this old familiar state of wanting out. I don’t see a future worthy of the resources I require and now a hip replacement is needed, at 48 years of age… with a long painful recovery and no one to help me through it.

Hey @SumatimeSadness ,
I'm hearing your pain and how tired you are feeling. Unfortunately, I can't take the pain away, but as a community we can sit with you.
However, before we continue, we really need to ask you to let the Community know what you need. That is, what does support from this community look like for you at this time?
This is in line with our Community Guidelines around Tell The Community What you Need.
I look forward to hearing you so we can better support you through this.

Hey @SumatimeSadness,
It's okay to be sitting in a space of not knowing what you need, but it's important to reflect on this and to later add what support you are hoping to receive so that others know how best to support you 🤗 This might just be kind words, wanting to know if others have experienced something similar, or asking for resources.
You are welcome to remove your post if you aren't sure what support you are needing right now, however it may be helpful to keep it up so that the community can chime in to support you! It's totally up to you what you would like to do with your post.
You don't have to go through this alone, and you are welcome to connect with other supports like Beyond Blue, Suicide Call Back Service or the PainLink Helpline 📞

Hey @tyme , today has been a little calmer, with time to catch my breath.
Thank you for your understanding and advice the other night.
I’d like some kind words and gentle encouragement, please.
It feels most unusual to identify and request such specific things from others, but I think I’d like to get used to that.
And if anyone has been through the years long process of public health services waiting list, a big surgery like a hip replacement and recovery, I’d love to know how you are doing now.
Much appreciation for anyone’s time who chooses to respond.

It's great you can reach out and ask @SumatimeSadness !
As I've said in the past, we all have our own journeys and insights.
Meet @Shaz51 . She's a warrior. She's had her own fair share of medical needs, and may be able to shed light on your situation.
For me, I've only been in the public health system for mental health - not physical health.... so I don't think it compares to a hip replacement!
I'm so sorry that you are experiencing pain.
Please know that it's so great to hear from you.
You are not alone.

Hello @Shaz51 , I actually got 7hrs of sleep so that feels nice. the scatters are definitely still there but it’s a little easier to shut them up when not completely exhausted.
A saying that comes to my mind is “just keep swimming” Dory, from that kids fish movie, which I can’t find the name of right now. I try to keep swimming but some days I just forget I’m a fish, you know what I mean?
Going to check out the link, thank you.
hope your weekend is not terrible.
