Hey everyone,
While some see today as Australia Day, we remember what this day means to our First Nations People.
Here is a space to hangout for those who are around.

I couldn’t agree more and it looks like such a lovely place to connect and unwind. I had a really quiet day today. I haven’t been sleeping very well the last few nights, so I decided to watch one of my fav tv series in the late morning, and I ended up falling asleep and having the best nap, the deepest sleep I’ve had in days..hooray! After that, I listened to some great music and did a bit of journaling. It’s been really hot outside today. I tried to sit outside in my backyard for a bit, but the sun felt like it was burning my legs the moment I stepped out. Now it’s finally starting to cool down, so I’m thinking of going for a walk, hopefully I’ll spot some parrots, maybe even a black cockatoo.
What did everyone else get up to? 🙂

Hi @tyme and others
Today I went into the bush and did a small walk and then I sat under a tree and listened to the waves breaking on the beach. There was a bit of a breeze so it was quite nice in the shade.
I hope the temperature does not get too hot for everyone here, well anyone really

I went out this morning to the shops and to get a coffee. Then I came home and spent time with the kids in the pool. I was mindful I had to hop on the forums, so I didn't go very far. We had a lot of fun i the pool though @SaltwaterSoul
Looking at your username, it reminds me that our pool is salt water which can be so healing.
Tomorrow will be such a scorcher. I have to go out in the morning, but when I come home, it's going to be pool time!

Beautiful @Till23 . I could 'feel' your post. Even on a hot day, the beach is so cool and refreshing. Do you think you will go tomorrow too?
I could spend all day and night at the beach, just sitting, watching and listening to the waves. It's so soothing.

I wasn't actually at a beach @tyme just in the bush beside the beach, when I was listening to the waves I could not actually see them.. I also went to a place that overlooks the beach so I watched the waves for a while. I'm not a fan of beaches just to sit unless there are trees for shade, I like walking along beaches and especially rock platforms. I love the salty air, there's almost always some kind of a breeze, I like watching the waves rolling in and breaking on the beach or running across the rock platforms. The sound of waves breaking is one of my favourite sounds.
Tomorrow I have volunteering early to do the breakfast for the people who come to the soup kitchen type place where I volunteer. Then I've got to do a couple of things like shopping etc while I'm out. So I won't get to the bush tomorrow. I also think tomorrow is supposed to be hotter tomorrow.

Oh! @Till23 , then again, you still got to hear the waves and you still got to see them! Plus, on top of that, you had the shade of the trees. I can now visualise it. It reminds me of my childhood beach which was more a bay. There was a bush, then if you walk down, the bay is there. It was a quiet and peaceful one. My parents and sister still live in that area in Sydney. It's absolutely lovely. That's certainly one thing I miss about Sydney - the location we grew up in.
Where I am now, we have to drive 30 mins or so to get to the beach.
If I didn't have the kids with me, I'd sit on the beach or rocks all day to watch the waves. But now that I don't go without the kids, it's different. I need to be careful of them all the time.
I hope tomorrow will be okay for you. I've heard it will be much much hotter!
