So I’m in hospital which means I’m not well obviously. I rang dad for Father’s Day asked how he was going after his operation. Not once did they ask
how I was. They asked why I can’t come home after my psychologist appointment. I can’t tell them the truth but I would have just been nice to be asked ‘how are you’ I would have given a stock standard answer. I know I’m overreacting but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt.

That sucks @Captain24 @that they didn’t bother to ask how you were doing.
that’s my dad all the time. I don’t even bother calling for today anymore. Kinda feel bad, kinda don’t. Need to protect myself any way I can.
sorry not round a much. But have been following along as much as I can.

Hey @Bow
I have to do it, it’s expect of me to be a good daughter. It did hurt a lot though.
It’s ok that you’re not around. I know you are having a hard time.
I went to the gym today. Walked into town and back for the last group which is really up hill. Then I had a friend pick me up and we walk the length of the beach and back. I’m so tired.

Hey @tyme
A nurse did come and sit with me and coregulate me. But while I was sitting with the nurse another patient came over and gave me a hug. Like.. piss off.. especially when you are with someone.
I will work with my awesome new psych to help with it.
Poor Ruby. It’s a big operation but being a puppy they get over it pretty quickly.
How are you?

Hey @Captain24 ,
Sounds like you had a lot happen today.
What do you mean "Like.. piss off.. especially when you are with someone"?
So your new psych is good?
Ruby seems better than I expected. She's jumping around and we're trying to keep her chill... she's such a puppy... jumping everywhere. She's so undisciplined lol. Doesn't respond to any command, nor her name... she's just one excited pup. (Can't blame her too much coz we haven't trained her).
My sister said she's actually really good for a pup. I don't see it though.
As part of this WHS assignment I'm doing, I have to video a role play. I did it with my sis and BIL, but then realised I forget a section so I need to do it again. It's hard with the kids. We videoed a few times because the youngest decided to bomb the video shoot and walked across with her garbage truck toy... (even though I warned her not to come into the room!).. and then, when I told her off, she bawled her eyes out so it took another 30 mins to console her...
Next thing I know, she's gone around with a pair of scissors cutting the hair off soft toys... grrrr. Btw, now she's going around the house singing "I'm happy in Australia".....
This kid....geez

Yes today was a lot and the facilitator made me cry twice. She was so happy that she broke me 5. She said I need to cry more. @tyme
A patient come up and hugged me when the nurse was trying to calm me down. Hence the piss off. Twice today she has touched me for no reason and I hate it.
My new psych is one of the facilitators that I had for my course. She works out of here in private practice. We have established a connection already. Plus we have had a couple of one on ones so she knows a lot of my past and where I’m sitting mentally.
Hahaha.. good luck as she gets older! It’s hard to keep them quiet after surgery. The day I got Jett back after his knee surgery he jumped out of a port-a-cot!
Aawww. Poor little thing. I guess it’s hard with little ones but I love that she had to photo bomb. That’s pretty cute.
She is so naughty. She loves her scissors. Her hair.. the teddy bears..

That's so weird that someone just comes to hug you and you don't even really know her... @Captain24
I would be feeling a little irk.....
I'm glad you have connected with the psych. Do they see people outside the clinic too?
Don't dogs feel pain? They've just had surgery and then they jump out of a port a cot? Or was he still under anesthesia?

To make it even worse, I don’t like her. @tyme. It makes me freeze and I feel
violated.
I did interrupt a patient tonight though that was hysterical. She couldn’t tell the nurses what was going on so
i asked her if I could tell them. She
couldnt answer me so I just pulled one of the nurses away and told them.
Some do. The ones that only work a couple of days a week with inpatients. The psych I’m seeing does inpatients 2 days, private patients in the outpatient section one day a week and somewhere else another day. The only thing is that she doesn’t do ED’s.
They do feel pain but Pix is really tough and so is Jett. He wasn’t under anaesthesia when I got him home because I picked him up the day after surgery. I had so much trouble containing him and all he could do was walk very slowly on a really tight lead to go to the toilet. He just wouldn’t stop.

Yeah.. .that's what I would be feeling... @Captain24 . Um... Please don't touch me???!
It sounds like the people in the clinic at the same time as you this time are more acutely unwell. What do you think?
