If my stay wasn’t extended then I would have seen her on Wednesday but I will she her the following Monday. I haven’t seen her since Easter last year.

Sorry to hear. Is there someone you can talk to while you are there? I know first hand how triggering an ambulance can be. 

As much as there is work you can do in the long run to help with this as part of desensitisation, at this time, it's probably about finding ways to just get through the moment even if it means distraction.
